Trans-Pecos American Indian Association Mission Statement: "Renewal of American Indian Heritage in the Trans-Pecos Region." The Trans-Pecos American Indian Association is eight years old now and has over 200 members. In the association members can participate in the activities of the association, such as the Powwow Committee meetings, every first Sunday of the month at the home of Luis Tijerina, 1438 S. Alleghaney Ave., in Odessa, Texas at 2:00 PM. Bar-B-Q and Chili cook-off's, Brisket plate sales, Garage Sales, and of course the group gatherings such as Purification Ceremonies, Sweats, on the second Saturday of the the month are also offered.
